Participants of the Bridging the Divide on Firearms Policy Project have successfully developed a comprehensive platform of state level policies that, if adopted, will be effective in reducing population levels of firearm-related harms while respecting the rights of firearm owners. The platform is made up of eight distinct policy proposals, each addressing an area of significance for both gun violence prevention advocates, and firearm owners concerned with protecting their Second Amendment and due process rights.
The team strongly believes that these policies are most effective at protecting public safety if enacted as a package.
